Good evening – Depending upon the amount of snow that falls – we may open up one or more dates this week for cat skiing.

It seems we have one day, April 28th, with open seats.

As well, the snow gods are still being kind to us. Yesterday the 21st we were skiing on 20 cms of fresh snow at -9C.

The current long range forecast is for a fresh pulse of snow on Saturday the 27th.

A new season – Spring snows..

We are receiving almost daily pulses of snow.

In addition, we had a full cat open up for the 28th. If you wanted some famous Fortress Spring snow – there is now an opportunity to join us.

After almost 14 days of snowless sunny weather winter is returning to the mountains.

Short Forecast for the next 3 days for 2150 m altitude
Latest detailed forecast for Fortress Mountain may be newer – updates every 6 hours

A moderate fall of snow, heaviest on Tue night. Freeze-thaw conditions (max 3°C on Tue morning, min -5°C on Wed morning). Wind will be generally light.

Day 3 to 6 forecast for 2150 m altitude
A moderate fall of snow, heaviest on Sat night. Freeze-thaw conditions (max 1°C on Fri afternoon, min -7°C on Sun night). Wind will be generally light.

Next years cat skiing booking calendar

Good morning everyone:

We are launching our booking process for next years cat skiing calendar next week.

We anticipate it will be on Wednesday – We will announce the exact time on FB and our web site.

With 400% more demand than our ability to supply cat skiing this year, we will have a few booking rules, but we hope to be able to service more of the demand next year with our revised dates.

Thanks, and when I look south from Canmore today – it is still snowing in K country…
